Conceptualization of Key Terms

Please read the two articles (one quantitative and one qualitative) and evaluate the way the authors’ attempted to define, or neglected to define, key terms.

a) Are there some important concepts that the authors could have defined but didn’t? (Sometimes, authors neglect to provide even an implicit definition of a key term.)

b) Can you find a quote where the authors tried to explicitly or implicitly define one or two key concepts?

c) Can you explain why the authors’ attempts to explicitly or implicitly define these terms are superior to what happens in ordinary conversations?

d) Can you critique one or two of the authors’ explicit or implicit definitions and provide a concrete example of the dilemma of infinite regress?

e) Can you provide examples of where the authors’ attempts to critique different definition of the same key concepts that appear in the articles you are evaluating?
