For your Week V Thematic Class Discussion, you are going to focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). First read the Facebook case study. Then go to MyUM Library (ProQuest and EBSCO databases) and locate 5 peer-reviewed articles on CSR. I STRONGLY recommend focusing on articles that were published within the past 10 years. In addition to these 5 peer-reviewed articles, use the WSJ articles (minimum 2) to complete this week’s assignment. Do not present your WSJ articles as a separate piece at the end of your original post; work on incorporating them in your message.

As you read the Facebook case, think about:

Why Facebook has been so successful?
By mid-2018 , there appeared to be at least two central challenges facing the business: addressing user privacy/trust concerns AND moderating content to reduce harm to a global community. What makes these challenges so hard? Is the one worse than the other?
Facebook management has launched a major set of new initiatives to address these challenges and invested considerable resources. Do you have confidence they will solve these problems? How would you judge performance of major players?
If not, what should or will other stakeholders do to address matters, including:
Regulators, Users, Advertisers, Privacy Advocates, etc.

Are we at “peak” Facebook – either because of future business model performance (e.g., lower growth, greater spending, regulatory risk, etc.) or emerging “sin stock” concerns from investors OR is it time to “buy the dip”
