Just need an outline of a speech from you so I can record it and submit.
Select 3 artifacts/objects you find meaningful. They can be related to one another when it comes to material, color, shape, etc., or they can be entirely different artifacts/objects but they need to share meaning. After selecting your artifacts, create a 4-5 minute video speech (Please, remain within the time limit). Please, consider the following questions to frame your discussion:
1. How might the rhetorical concepts we have studied be applied to the range of artifacts you selected?
2. How far do your findings or discoveries in Project 2 (Babel-Rhetorical Analysis) relate to your selected artifacts? Are there interesting contrasts or intersections among the rhetorical strategies represented in the artifacts?
3. What specific questions might you pose to your peers in your group about their projects, and what questions might you have for the class in responding to the projects?
Note: The main goal of this project is to make you reflect on the different layers of meaning different artifacts convey and how written language is not the only way to communicate and make meaning.
Since you already have experience recording your videos and uploading them to Youtube, I will not go over the same instructions. Please, email me if you have problems, questions or concerns.
