For this assignment, imagine that you are a public health advocate in the United States, working for a local, state, or federal government agency. You are tasked with the responsibility of researching recently published scientific articles about this public health event or topic, compiling this research into a literature review, translating this research for the individual audiences of laypersons, professionals and administrators, and giving your own assessment of how the government entity should address the public health issue using concrete actions. For this assignment, you will need to include: 1) An introduction that supplies the general context of the public health topic(when didit happen, how it arose, what is its danger, who is affected by it, why it is important to address). It must also include an overview of the ways that this topic affects laypersons, professionals, and administrators. It must also include a strong thesis statement that gives your overall interpretation of the public health issue and why it requires addressing. 2) A literaturer view that summarizes and interprets the contributions of at least two separate peer-reviewed articles addressing your public health issue. You will extract the useful information pertinent to your topic and arrange it so that you give an overall narrative of how this research developed, what it contributes to the field, how it can be used practically, and in what future directions it will develop. This should be designed to communicate directly to other researchers (scientists). 3) A section designed specifically for laypersons that gives a narrative,journalistic-style overview of this public health emergency and its consequences on the overall population. It should make clear how laypersons interact with this public health issue as well as what they themselves can do to address it in their own lives. This may be a traditional essay-style section or a brochure. 4) A clearly organized,chart-style section designed to appeal to practitioner seending to acquire information quickly and succinctly. It should include statistical information as well as visually informative graphs that illustrate the overall effects of the public health topic. 5) A section designed to appeal to the over arching administrative and legislatively focused actions that companies, advocates and government officials can take to stem the tide of the public health issue. This should be designed as a formal letter or memo addressing the responsibilities and actionable tasks that administrators can take to better improve this topic 6) A conclusion that brings all of these separate audiences together and explains how they can work in cooperation to ease the effects of the public health issue.
