Graduate program application essay: statement of purpose

This is an essay required when applying to Babson college, master program: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN MANAGEMENT IN ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP (MSEL)

Essay prompt is
”Babson educates entrepreneurs of all kinds. Some students will seek to start businesses; others will seek to grow established business with innovative approaches and solutions. What kind of entrepreneur will you be? How do you intend to leverage Babson’s resources to support your ambitions?”

For now, I want to be the kind of entrepreneur who seek to grow an established business.

In this essay, I would like to talk about my ambition is to expand my parent’s furniture company located in China.

why this ambition: when the company just established, it was just a really small store doing OEM. growing up in the family, I’ve seen my parents working really hard, and starts having their own furniture brand. THEY NEVER GIVE UP! NOW, the Company is a small to medium size furniture company with about 800 employees. It is a LOCAL business and has established for 21 years. Their spirit of never give up really influenced me, and I want this spirit and my parents’ effort known by more people.

I think the business can grow even more, like expand to other cities, or even internationally.
