In this assignment, you are going to put your newly acquired knowledge into practice. This assignment is described on page 63 of you manuals and is called “Conservation in practice”. The map of the southwestern United States is availbable in the EVOLUTION LAB slides. There you will find a bird species and a mammal species tables needed to do this assignment. Read through Conservation in Practice section, and answer ALL questions on page 64. TAKE A PICTURE OF THE COMPLETE PAGE AND SUBMIT IT . The last part that asks you to come up with a combination of islands that maximizes the number of birds and mammals that are saved is a must. I will go into detail on how to do the calculations on the Evolution Lab Zoom meeting. If you are confused, review this part of the recording. If you are one of the students that comes up with the biggest number of “saved” species, You will receive 10 bonus points. Good luck!
