A sense of purpose in what you are pursuing is a sustainable motivator for high performance and orients you to what is most important. This activity is designed to help you reflect on and articulate the “why” behind your goals and motivation, setting daily goals towards that “why,” and explore motivations that go beyond the self. Choose 4 values that are important to you. There is no right or wrong answer. You will be graded on your level of engagement with the questions, clarity of writing, and application to your life and work. This should be no more than 2 pages double spaced with 12 point font– so your answers should be concise. Here are a list of questions that you could explore and answer within each value: · Why are these top four values important to you? · Describe a behavior for each value that you could do every day. · What are some ways that you can implement these behaviors in your day to day life? · What are ways that these actions impact the people around you and why? · How might these values be linked to your motivation?
