The course has addressed sustainability practices in the following global industries, focusing on the indicated HBS case studies:
– Fashion and Apparel: Levi Strauss, Patagonia
– Food & Agriculture: General Mills, Danone
Write essays (3-4 pages each, 6-8 pages total, double spaced) analyzing sustainability in your two selected industries. In your essay, be sure to address each of the following questions:
• What sustainability-related problems do these industries confront?
• What solutions to these sustainability problems did the corporations featured in the HBS cases implement?
• What continuing challenges in sustainability do the two industries face?
In your essay, be sure to provide illustrative examples from the readings, lectures, class discussions, and team presentations to defend your argument. Students may use HBS cases they have presented in class.
