The purpose of the group project is to familiarize yourselves with searching for and reading
scholarly/research articles and practice synthesizing the information that you derive from them.

Synthesize and summarize the insights derived from these scholarly articles in the form of a short report.
The report should begin with a brief introduction to the topic, which may include
a definition, an outline of why this is important for organizational functioning,
the impacts that it may have on employees and the organization as a whole, etc.

• Notes:
• If providing a definition, be sure to cite the original source (which
in most cases may be a scholarly article)

FOCUS ON BODY MOSTLY
The body of the report should be dedicated to synthesizing/summarizing the
findings and insights of the scholarly articles at a high level clearly and concisely
• End the report with a brief conclusion

• APA style calls for the use of in-text citations and a reference list when citing
sources
• However, in this report, place an endnote instead of an in-text citation and then
provide the full reference within the endnote at the end of the document using
APA 7 style

2. Clarity and conciseness of the report (40 marks)
• Includes how well you have answered the question, how well you have
synthesized and summarized the findings and insights derived from the scholarly
articles, the appropriateness of the introduction and conclusion

3. Appropriateness of the articles used in the report (10 marks)
4. Writing quality and overall readability of the report (20 marks)
• Includes spelling and grammar, professional formatting and structure (including
consistent use of fonts and headings across all sections)
