And Yet & Skeptics May Object Reading Reflection In “And Yet,” and “Skeptics May Object,” Graff and Birkenstein demonstrate the importance of incorporating the words and ideas of others into your own arguments. Think about how you develop a claim and how it responds to the ideas of others. Select a quote from either of the Graff and Birkenstein readings, and analyze it in context with your own methods. How have you developed your arguments in the past? How are you doing so now? You can refer to research essays you have written for other classes. Please reading those two books to do the reading reflection, last pdf is my friend example. Please quote sentence from book like what did I friend do Chelsea Jaimes

“Look over something you’ve written that makes an argument. Check to see if you’ve anticipated and
responded to any objections.” and Basically the entire section for “But I’ve been told not to use l”
I think this quote as well as the section for “But I’ve been told not to use l” have both brought up some very
good points. The section for “I” was really helpful because in the past I have had trouble with phrasing my
sentences so as to not speak in first person and take away from the research portion of my paper. I think
there’s some validity to using the word I but in the end it does take up too much space especially if that’s the
only way the writer continues to portray their voice. Especially in research paper I think it’s pivotal to stray
away from these I statements for the most part. For the quote I chose I think I have definitely used this in
my own methods of writing, when I choose my research I also like to think of the counternarratives out
there in the world that may say the opposite of what my thoughts/ preconceived notions are and know how
I can challenge them and oppose them with some other research and my own argumentative analysis. In
recent years I have continued to address not only counterarguments with factual/observational evidence
but also addressing more research that is needed in order to better future research after my own studies,
that can come to a general consensus on the matter. In one of my papers in high school that i worked on
about the psychodynamic theory I argued the affirmative which was that using the psychodynamic theory
was the most ideal (even though I actually did not feel that way) and I brought up different psychological
concepts and why they were not as effective so that I had irrefutable evidence through comparison. I also
observed the counterclaims very closely for these other concepts.
