Project: stock price valuation and evaluation
Please find 5 stocks you are interested in from NASDAQ stock market (You can find
all the companies on NASDAQ here:
https://www.nasdaq.com/dividend-stocks/dividend-calendar.aspx (Links to an external site.))
And find out the dividend per share those 5 companies paid for their common stocks
in the past 5 years. Using two method to determine the price of the stocks and decide
which stocks to buy or not to buy, your expected investment return rate is 10%.
Method A: assuming the dividend per share paid from the company every year in the
future would be the average divided per share paid from the company in the past 5
years. (the dividend is 0 in a year if a company did not pay dividend for the common
stocks)
Method B: assuming dividend per share paid from the company next year in the future
would be the average divided per share paid from the company in the past 5 years, and
it will increase 5% every year after until forever. (the dividend is 0 in a year if a
company did not pay dividend for the common stocks)
