Hip?hop and Urban Studies

Abstract: How can urban studies research engage fruitfully with hip?hop? This contribution responds to the essays by David Beer and Martin Lamotte on ‘street music’, urban ethnography and ghettoized communities. It discusses how a social science engagement with hip?hop texts might differ from cultural studies approaches, and how the study of hip?hop culture can contribute to social movements studies. The essay argues that academics can utilize this form of ‘urban’ culture in various ways when undertaking urban research, teaching urban studies and engaging a broader public in academic research.

Abstract of my RA: How can psychological studies research engage with an unnatural creature story? This analysis is talking abut Come Lady Death which is wrote by Peter S. Beagle. In this analysis, the author argues that people still can not be satisfied because their jealousy and  selfishness by analyzing description of characters in the story, thereby brings this argument into the society and discusses the basic social problem.

What Can Vampires Teach Us about Immunology?

Abstract: Speculative fiction examines the leading edge of science and can be used to introduce ideas into the classroom. For example, most students are already familiar with the fictional infectious diseases responsible for vampire and zombie outbreaks. The disease dynamics of these imaginary ailments follow the same rules we see for real diseases and can be used to remind students that they already understand the basic rules of disease ecology and immunology. By engaging writers of this sort of fiction in an effort to solve problems in immunology we may be able to perform a directed evolution experiment where we follow the evolution of plots rather than genetic traits.
