We will now be using the example of juvenile osteoporosis for our lab activity. First, it’s important to know that osteoporosis is a disorder that causes the bone to become porous and weak. It is usually expected to occur in post-menopause women, as their bodies go through many changes in how it produces and absorbs vitamins and minerals. A growing number of kids and teens, however, have recently been diagnosed with such disorder. All the files you will need for this lab have been provided below, including the handout.
