University of California San Diego Ch 6 & 7 Philosophy of Science & Mind Essay You will be taking notes on chapters 6 & 7 so that you will be able to write an essay after watching two Ted Talks on consciousness. You will be required to explain, discuss and analyze the material presented in the Ted Talks as well as discuss and make connections with one or more of the philosophers you will read in chapters 6 & 7.
In order to facilitate this and help you organize your thoughts and understanding, your assignment for this week and next is to write out a basic understanding of the material you have read. I do not expect any certain format or style, but I would like you to do an outline of the topics presented with a summary of the material. Anything after that should be according to your own wishes.
Remember, this exercise is simply to help you get ready to write an essay that, by nature, will be rather complicated. You must practice the art of organizing your thoughts in order to write an effective philosophy paper. This is the space to do that.
