Please respond to the following questions:

In the last few weeks, we have focused on how individuals and groups influence policy. The articles above explore the issue of presidential impeachment, including that of President Donald Trump. Using your readings and lecture material as theory to frame the case, explain how the impeachment of President Trump got onto the agenda of the U.S. Congress. Is politics involved, and if so, how?

Consider, by comparison, the impeachments of Presidents Clinton and Jackson. How were politics similarly or differently involved in these respective circumstances? From understanding these cases, what can one surmise about impeachment as a political process? Please feel free to cite any other relevant materials.
