Purpose Statement:
In todays world, Virtual Reality is a form of technology that has crossed barriers into different
industrial verticals and it is not only confined to the entertainment world. It simulates a physical
presence in the real and imaginary world and it has lifted the gaming world into a whole new
level. But this technology is still at a point where it struggles to deal with the problem of human
perception.
Problem:
technology not gelling with the human perception,
decisions are based on perception of reality,
Creative and Original Solution
With an acceptable sense of presence it is difficult to handle this problem by creating virtual
realities that move humans to new worlds,
What is needed is
A method for studying VR in a reductionist manner
Eradicating the clutter before adding any new element so as to observe the effects on a
persons sense of presence
The maximum likelihood estimation theory gives an explanation on how information
received from all our senses is put together
this information is then integrated together to show the understanding we have of our
environment
Conclusion
