Human Capital Responsibility
As a strategic leader, determine if you would feel ethically responsible for developing
your firm’s human capital and state why.
Leaders are supposed to be motivational and able to implement effective judgments. Leaders
are responsible for making sure human capital stays at its best. I always say, if a business is
dealing with a large turnover rate its sometimes because of lack of knowledgeable within the
leadership. (most of the time) Every leader is responsible for building firm’s human capital.
A well-developed leader still has much to learn because as time progresses, industries are
constantly changing. An effective leader, should know that its vital to remain open-minded
and ready to learn new skills to evolve, innovate, and create effective outcomes for their
business (es).
Discuss whether or not you believe your position is consistent with the majority or
minority of today’s strategic leaders.
There are a lot of great businesses out there. And I for one am faithful that I will run a global
business one day. Being in the music, fashion, and movie, (or overall) entertainment
industry. I also have plans to expand and do other things more business orientated. I would
say a majority because of the way I think, business minded.

Dominos organizational structure revolves around the operations around the retail
space. It means that the hierarchical structure is the owner of the franchise, restaurant
manager, team supervisor and then the employee. This arrangement does not suit the
corporate objective of bettering customer experience. A client needs a set of variety to feel
satisfied, but in the structure, marketing and research are left for the restaurant manager
alone. This might be beneficial in terms of smooth chain of duties in within the retail store
but does not guarantee diversification of products and services. To do this, the chai n store
needs to have a subtle and versatile marketing department to ensure that the goods stay
recent and up to date. The addition will help Domino have a competitive advantage over the
brutal industry of fast food chains.
Strategic controls refer to measures in an organization that is aimed at integrating qualitative
and quantitate integration. It uses both monetary and non-monetary policies to encourage
desired organizational behavior. Financial controls involve the use of financial measures to
assess organization and management performance. The human capital in an organization is
an intricate part because it steers growth. As an ethical leader, it is my duty to develop the
expertise of my human capital because the firm depends on their skills to produce. When an
employee is given rigorous training regarding the need for quality checks and if given the
department of logistics, he is able to ensure quality is maintained in all the products of the
firm. If he/she excels, more employees will be able to learn from them and better their
various positions in the business. From a societal point of view, more comprehension and
productivity means that the earnings go up. It helps improve the living standards of
individuals which make them relate more to the firm

2) Business and Society
Diversity plays a vital role in reaching a greater number of customers, employees,
students, etc. especially with more corporations/academic institutions moving towards a
global initiative. This was not the case for Harvard University. Harvard’s new policy,
which took effect for the Class of 2021, cuts access to campus leadership positions and
prestigious scholarships for anyone who decides to join any gender-exclusive group,
including those that are located off campus and not officially recognized by the
university. I choose this topic because I was shocked to hear that a prestigious academic
institution like Harvard will ever practice gender exclusion. According to a lawsuit
against this policy, Harvard doesn’t place other limits on the types of groups students can
join, arguing that they could “join the American Nazi Party, or could create an off campus undergraduate chapter of the Ku Klux Klan” without violating school policy. As
a result of this lawsuit, Harvard University has recently agreed to spend $50 million to
revamp its diversity policies following a heated public airing of controversial comments
by its president, Lawrence Summers, about the absence of gender diversity in certain
academic disciplines.

3) Solution and Global issue
From the three videos, all are very crucial issues in our world. From person experience, I would
say air pollution would be the issue I relate to the most. Not only being in the states, but when I
deployed to Iraq, I witnessed major air pollution risks. Sand storms were a common thing in Iraq,
which creates major nuisances when completing daily tasks. The best way to protect air quality
is to reduce the emission of pollutants by changing to cleaner fuels and processes. Pollutants not
eliminated in this way must be collected or trapped by appropriate air-cleaning devices as they
are generated and before they can escape into the atmosphere. Third world countries are
notorious for exposing pollutants to the air. While in America the same problems arise, there are
many things we can all do to minimize our contributions to air pollution.
We can all manage air pollution individually by always making sure our vehicles are emissions
ready, using cleaner fuels, or going electric altogether. Use carpooling options, or public
transportation, bike or walk if allowed. Combine driving trips. If you have errands to run, make
them in fewer trips as possible. Don’t idle the car for long periods is something I witness many
people do. It’s a very bad habit, but by allowing the car to run, the person is letting gases omit to
the atmosphere. Since we need to breathe, if we keep inhaling toxins into our bodies, we might
as well just light up a pack of cigarettes per sitting and smoke it. Because we inhale these
contaminants and we don’t necessarily see the effects instantly, doesn’t mean our bodies are not
being destroyed. Over the years, these pollutants can cause major health issues from lung cancer
to even other vital organ shutdowns.
