Select two institutions like the one you work in or would like to work in and review their strategic plans, self-study reports and other quality related documents from their websites.

Then examine their mission and values statements and Critique them from the perspective of the Baldrige National Quality Award Program or the Academic Quality Improvement Program using the information on the Baldrige and AQIP websites.

Using the resources provided on the three websites provided relating to quality assurance, your readings for the course to this point, materials in the NCU library, and your personal experiences, speak to the value of assessment of the sort advocated by Baldrige and AQIP to the planning process and the ways in which they complement each other within the plans you found.

Also comment on how these institutions avoid letting the emphasis in some evaluation programs obscure the qualitative assessments that are critical to the establishment of values within the institution.
