Concordia University Nebraskia Soliciting Donors Discussion In your reading from the text (Weinstein, 2013), you learned several different ideas and techniques to nurture and build relationships with donors. For this discussion, you will play two roles. First, you will draft a post stating where you are an athletic director who is attempting to solicit funds from a potential donor, and how you would approach a potential donor. Your response post will be where you play a second role. Chose one classmate and respond to his or her solicitation post as if you were the potential donor.
Using what you read in the text and in the article, Stop Fundraising, Start Relationship-Building (Bloomerang, n.d.), determine how you will begin the process of soliciting funds from the prospective donor and discuss what the process would entail. Your classmates will decide to donate or pass based on your process. Your classmates will respond with a donation or sponsorship, or lack thereof with some type of acknowledgement explaining why they decided not to be a donor.
This discussion will have your initial post, your response to a classmate, and any other discussion comments you would like to contribute.
