This is a 5-10 pages paper assignment. This research paper exercise will challenge student to conduct research on a significant disease topic in public health. Topics will be randomly assigned by instructor. APA Style formatting and Referencing is required.

Point System (use items “a to g” as headings in your paper):

Introduction (10 points). Inform reader about background information of the disease such as whereit occurs, in what populations, how often it occurs, briefly stated the purpose of your research paper, and provide the reader with a roadmap of where you are headed in the discussion. Make sure you stay on the roadmap you said you don’t lose the reader.
Disease Process (30 points). Discuss normal human structure and function of the disease and then discuss what changed in the structure and function that produced the disease state.
Clinical Manifestations (10 points). Discuss the signs and symptoms of the disease.
Diagnosis (10 points). Discuss medical treatment options available for this disease. If there are complementary and alternative medicine options, please include this into your paper.
Public Health implication and disease burden (20 points). Discuss the public health implicationof the disease, including disease burden by showing its statistics locally, nationally, and globally.
Prevention and Control (10 points). Identify public health strategies to prevent and control thedisease.
Reference Section (5 points). You will need at least three (3) peer-reviewed journal references forthis paper other than your textbook. All scientific studies must be supported by peer-reviewed scientific research. Peer-reviewed journal articles and textbooks (not Wikipedia), official government reports are acceptable sources of information. You must have the entire journal article (not just the abstract. The reference section of your paper must be in APA format.
Formatting (5 points). Your paper must be formatted in APA Style format. The paper length is between 5-10 pages, double spaced, 12 points fonts, with one-inch margins. The paper length excludes any cover pages, and reference page. Use Microsoft Office Word program for the paper.
