so you will need an extensive education in
science. Immunologists typically need a
bout nine years of post-bachelor’s/
graduate studies. After medical school, a
student seeking to be an immunologist,

years of internal medicine or pediatric
training, pass either the ABIM ( American
Board of Internal Medicine ) or the ABP
( American Board of Pediatrics) exams,
and complete a minimum 2 year fellowship
with an immunology program.
