Why does a positive test charge (if it is far away) go away or turn right from a -1 charge and a +3 charge if the -1 is on the left and the +3 charge is on the right separated by a distance d? Why does it “feel” a +2 charge if the positive test charge goes FAR AWAY from the -1 or the +3 charge?
