Part 1: Find an advertisement for a job that appeals to you from a newspaper or online. Write a 1 paragraph analysis of the ad using the 3 bulleted prompts in your textbook on page 207. Include the ad and your analysis of it at the beginning of your document. (10 points)

Part 2: Make a point form outline of your cover letter, including which skills, qualities, and knowledge you will highlight. Include this after your ad and analysis. *Note: plan to use this outline as the basis of your letter. (15 points)

Part 3: Write the letter. Below your outline, follow the format in your textbook to write a 1-page single-spaced cover letter, using the AIDA pattern, –applying for the job. For the purpose of this assignment, it is acceptable to make up details you might need to make your letter persuasive. However, if you plan to use this letter to apply for jobs, be sure you are honest and adhering to persuasive communication ethics. You may use any 12-point serif font with 1” margins all the way around. (75 points)
