Make sure to answer these questions basing ONLY on Chapter 4 of the book They Say I Say by Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein and on Chapter 7 of the book David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell:

In Chapter 4 of They Say / I Say, Birkenstein and Graff demonstrate the three main ways to respond what they have to say. Simply put, you can agree (or say yes), you can disagree (or say no), or you can agree conditionally (or say okay, but).

For today’s discussion, I’d like you to put all of this into practice as we take another look at Chapter 7 of David and Goliath. (It’s the Rosemary Lawlor chapter that we discussed the other day.)
