In this project, you will write an argumentative essay, by identifying a debatable issue of public interest or related to your undergraduate studies or life, taking a position on that topic, and then doing the research, reflection, and writing that will contribute to strong advocacy of your position.You will address both sides of your argument using the classical pattern introduced in this course. At least three reliable or scholarly sources should be used to support your claims. For example, if you have three sub-claims or reasons in the body, you are expected to support each claim with at least one research study from the UIC Library database. Proper usage of in-text citations, paraphrasing, and a Works Cited page in MLA is expected.
